WRESTLERS OF THE WEEK 02-03-19
Zane Dubes has earned the status of Wrestler of the Week for his strong performance at the Jeff City Jays tournament. He fell in his first match, but showed true grit and 3 discipline. A part of wrestling that a lot of young athletes overlook is how do push through adversity. Zane showed great resolve and stayed the course. He came back and beat his next two opponents. Great job Zane
Deke earned Wrestler of the Week status for his performance at the Jeff City Jays tournament. He lost his first match his opponent. He came back to pin his next two opponets earning a 1st Place finish on the day. Deke is a hard worker in the wrestling room and we as coaches like to see their hard work in the practice room pay off on the weekends. Keep up the good work Deke!
Croix comes from a wrestling family. His father wrestled all through his childhood. His older brother Porter wrestles, and Croix has shown us the last two weeks that wrestling is going to be a good fit for this young kid. He made the podium last weekend at 6u State, and took home second place at Jeff City Jays tournament this weekend. He may be 6 but his wrestling IQ is already developing, having great body awareness, and movement. We look forward to seeing Croix develop in the Centralia Wrestling Club over the next few years. Great Job Croix!!!
